Kundaliyas of Chalkuria

Chalkuria is a small, beautiful village located in the hills of Pauri Garhwal in Uttrakhand. The village lies about 105 km from Kotdwar and is inhabited by Kundaliya Brahmin people. The village was established in the mid-19th century by two brothers (Sh. Markanday and Sh. Shivdutt).  The surroundings of the village are very beautiful and serve as a treat for the people away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
